Writing the title on the board and asking random questions to activate students. Such as:
- Do you like sports?
- What game do you like most?
- Who’s your sports hero?
- Why do you like him?
- Do you want to meet your hero?

So, students! As you’re so interested in sports, I thought it amazing to plan our today’s lesson about sports. Who’s interested???
- Pasting a flipchart about adjective on board. Explaining what an adjective is.
- Throw-ball activity: every student gives adjectives about different games and players. A ‘Vocabulary-Jungle’ is prepared on board with these words.
(10 min.)
- Watch & note Activity:
Now, it’s time to watch some Football players giving an interview. They are going to tell us about their heroes. You have to watch the video and fill the ‘What to look for’ Worksheet. (in case, any student doesn’t understand the video, video can be paused or replayed.)
- Playing the video and pausing it to fill the worksheet.
- Also noting down the difficult vocabulary from the video and adding these to vocabulary-Jungle.
- Peer checking the worksheet by students in pair. (checking each other’s work)
- Discussing the common mistakes done by students in listening to the video.
(15 min.)
- Making Listening better.
Let’s make listening better this time, by listening to the video once again.
Let’s see who gets better points.
- Providing students with another worksheet ‘true/false’.
- Playing the video again and pausing where required.
- Matching your answers with teacher’s answers.
- Comparing the scores with those earned in the last activity.

Now, as we have many other famous games and their fans as well in this classroom.
We’ll play a game!!!
- Pictures of 5 games and each with a picture of one famous player will be provided to 5 groups each.
- Students will be writing 3 sentences using what should their hero do to win the game and 3 sentences using what should not he do to win the game.
(15 min.)
- Student’s work Activity
- Dividing students into 4 groups (depending on the strength of class).
- Making a poster about ‘We are the Hero of our own story’ telling what kind of hero do they want to be, by taking vocabulary and adjectives from the Vocabulary-Jungle.
(20 min.)
- Feedback Activity:
At the end of the lesson, asking students 3 questions. (Verbally)
- How was this lesson? Use adjectives to support your answer. :)
- What should we do to make it better?
- What should not we repeat to avoid the difficulty?
(5 min.)
Thumbs up for your active participation :)
