Nike Incyte - the Premier League's official football
The new Nike Incyte ball has been the Premier League’s official football since the 2013/14 season.
What kind of ball is needed for the Premier League?
Chris Bond, Nike General Manager of Soccer Equipment: "The world's best leagues, federations and players demand the most innovative product on the market. That's why our brief was very simple: to create the world's best football. As the game gets even faster and more competitive around the world, we've designed a product to exceed the demands of today's players."
Have the demands on a modern match-day football increased during the Premier League years?
Tom de Blasis, Nike’s Football Design Director: “Yes they have because the game is faster and the players are stronger, quicker, and more skilled. The balls have to get better for two reasons. Firstly players are kicking it harder. And secondly, when players like Steven Gerrard or Yaya Toure take free kicks, they need to be certain about exactly where the ball travels.”
What do the players actually need?
Thomas Sorensen, Stoke City goalkeeper: "From a goalkeeper's point of view, you want confidence that you can make the ball do certain things and it's not the ball doing it on its own. As a goalkeeper if the flight of the ball is not true to the strike, it's not a confidence builder."
What makes the Nike Incyte ball the best football on the market?
The ball has a distinctive and eye-catching design that makes it easy for players to see. This helps them react quickly and take advantage of every scoring opportunity. The ball has been tested by some of the world's best players including Manchester United's Wayne Rooney. The ball features special NIKE RaDaR technology (RaDaR stands for Rapid Decision and Response) which helps players control the ball and makes sure it goes where they want. This technology, along with the aerodynamic stability and design makes the Nike Incyte ball the best ball on the planet.

I think it does.
And I think this kind of football might help not just myself but a lot of players around the world.
I think there are. The most famous to me is Jabulani's case, in 2010 FIFA World Cup

Yes it seems so distinctive and stylish.
I think so because it's easy to control it and when you kick it , you know where it goes exactly.
It seems to be as some balls are hard to kick and heavy and some others travel faster.

Why do they change the ball every time for new european or world cup? It's just a ball, it should have been perfected by now.

It helps goalkeepers for sure. You can see more goals if the ball is unpredictive. There are some slight differences, not enormous.
