World Cup Face Off: Agüero versus Džeko
We look at the World Cup chances of two Premier League teammates who will be on opposite teams during Brazil 2014. Who will finish on top?
Who are the players?
Sergio 'Kun' Agüero has won over 40 caps for Argentina and has scored more than 20 goals for his country. He normally plays as a central striker, but can also play as a second striker; he sometimes plays behind Džeko for Manchester City. Agüero has scored more than 70 goals for Manchester City and over 200 goals in his career.
Edin Džeko has won more than 50 caps for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is his country's leading all time goalscorer, with 33 goals (March 2014). Džeko usually plays as the target man and because he is very tall, he is also very good in the air. He is a prolific goalscorer and, like Agüero, has scored more than 200 goals in his career.
How important are the players to their national teams?
Edin Džeko is without doubt the star of this Bosnia and Herzegovina team. Bosnia and Herzegovina will be playing at the World Cup for the first time and their fans hope he will score the goals to get them out of this difficult World Cup group.
Sergio Agüero is one of Argentina's star players, but all eyes will be on another Argentinian forward - Lionel Messi. Messi has said, "Agüero has immense power, strength and an incredible work ethic." With all the attention on Messi, it may give Agüero a chance to score the goals to help Argentina progress in the tournament.
Do they have any weaknesses?
Both Džeko and Agüero are world class players, so there are very few weaknesses. Džeko and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be playing at their first World Cup, so nerves and pressure may be a problem in the biggest games. Agüero is one of Argentina's many attack-minded players. If they go forward too much, they may be caught on the counter-attack.
What is our prediction?
Argentina are strong favourites for this match because they are the seeded team in the group (the other two teams are Nigeria and Iran) and they have won the World Cup twice before. Argentina qualified for Brazil 2014 by finishing top of South American qualifying, with only 2 defeats in 16 matches.
Brazil 2014 will be Bosnia and Herzegovina's first World Cup. They qualified by finishing top of their group, with only 1 defeat in 10 matches. Džeko scored 10 goals in qualifying matches. If Džeko is on form, Bosnia and Herzegovina will score, but will it be enough?
We predict that both Džeko and Agüero will score and Bosnia and Herzegovina will surprise Argentina in a 2-2 draw.

The match is on June 15th at 2300 GMT in the 75,117 capacity Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

I was surprised to see BIH qualified for Brazil but obviously they had quality players. Still, the lack of experience they paid too high. Argentina is still very dangerous team though they don't tend to play attacking style like they played before.

I am a south american guy and I would like to support argentina not only in this match but in all their matches but I'm not all for them.I support all south american countries playing in this world cup but not argentina 'cause they are arrogant and don't know to lose(bad losers).Everytime they lose they like to get into a brawl because of their frustration.This is not only the national team but the argentinian clubs when competing in copa libertadores(libertadores cup).That's why I don't support them.In south america argentina is seen as the sore losers.
Nevertheless I have to admit they have a great squad and is the seeded team to get in the first place in their group.Aguero is a world class player and has scored many goals for his country.Dzeco as well is a great striker but I think he is more sticked to the goal.
My prediction is Argentina will beat bosnia at least 1-0 with with my deepest sorrow.I hope to be wrong but I don't think Bosnia will beat argentina.They are the underdogs.

I think that Argentina will win that match, because its attack is one of the strongest in all over the world. It has been said that Argentina's weak point is its defense, but Sabella has given confidence in the central zone to Federico Fernández and Ezequiel Garay, whom have done a good joob.
Mi prediction is Argentina 2 Bosnia 1, with two goals of Messi and Dzeko will score for Bosnia.
