Respect

Felipe leaves his house in his football kit and his dad is shouting after him. Felipe's dad says that Felipe is wasting his time. Felipe is late for training. When Lucas asks about why Felipe is late, Felipe is rude and uses bad language. When Orlando the coach hears Felipe, he tells him to come to his office.

Orlando tells Felipe that he has to show respect to his teammates and that means he has to control his temper and not use bad language. The coach sends Felipe home to think about it and tells him that he will telepjone later to talk about it. Felipe goes home and watches football with his dad who is swearing at the television. When the coach calls, Felipe says he is sorry and that he will stop using bad language.

The next day, Felipe goes to ask Orlando about his dad. Orlando tells Felipe that they used to be in the same team and that Felipe's dad was very good. One day, a scout from a big club in the city was watching the players. Felipe's dad was fouled and lost his temper and started a fight. The scout wasn't interested anymore. Later, Felipe asks his dad to come to his next match.

Activity 2: In this activity, you have to match the two halves of the sentences that use the form 'used to'.

After the match, Felipe is alone in the changing room. Felipe's dad goes to see Felipe and tells him that he's really sorry. He realises that he has not set a good example and now Felipe has a problem with his temper. Felipe's dad says that he doesn't want Felipe to be like him and lose his team and his friends because of his temper. Orlando sees that they are talking about the problem and invites Felipe's dad to the next match.

I think Felipe is angry at the begging of the story because he loses his temper with his father.
Felipe says sorry to the rest of the team because he uses bad language and doesn’t respect his teammates.
Felipe’s dad feels sorry because he makes the team loses the match.
Respect and fair play is very important because they can make everyone involved in the field focus on match rather than other things.

Probably because his dad was not happy about him keep playing football.
He did apologize because he used some bad language with his team mates.
He past by feelings like being angry to being proud of his son.
That's not important, that's crucial! Because without some behaviors arrangements it's not possible to live in harmony at any kind of situations os places.

The answer for the question number 3 is his dad but in my opinion is his teammates because Felipe didn't shout at his father, he just slammed the door, and then shouted at his friends.

Felipe's dad thinks that playing football is a waste of time. He slammed his house door and left home angry. Then he is rude to his teammates, especially with Lucas. The coach told him to leave the training session. It seems Felipe has the same problem as his dad; bad temper.

Respect is everything. When a player stops the game and help his opponent to continue he shows him respect. Sometimes they even change their t-shirts. These are only some of examples of the fair play.

He appologized later after he realized he made a mistake and failed his teammates. His dad is a good guy but probably had to struggle to survive and he shows his bad temper sometimes. But he understood that without his advice and support his son could make the same mistake so he decided to help him and they cheer together at the end.
