We look at the World Cup prospects for some Premier League team mates who will be on opposite teams during Brazil 2014. Which Premier League team mate will finish on top?
Who are the players?
Steven Gerrard has won over 100 caps for England and is captain of the national team. He normally plays in central midfield where he has scored more than 20 goals for England and over 100 goals for Liverpool. Gerrard has played for Liverpool for all of his career.
Luis Suarez has won more than 70 caps for Uruguay and is his country's leading all time goalscorer with 39 goals (January 2014). Suarez plays as a forward and can play as the main target man or as a second striker. He is a prolific goalscorer and has scored more than 50 goals in less than 100 games for Liverpool.
How important are the players to their national teams?
Luis Suarez is without doubt the star of this Uruguayan team. With fellow striker Edinson Cavani (PSG), Suarez will be expected to score the goals to get Uruguay out of this difficult World Cup group.
Steven Gerrard is the captain of England and the younger players will look to him for leadership and encouragement. England will look to his experience of previous big tournaments to give England the edge in a tough group
Do they have any weaknesses?
Both Suarez and Gerrard are world class players so there are very few weaknesses. But Gerrard will be 34 during the World Cup and he is not as quick as he used to be. Suarez's temperament has been questioned in the past and he has a habit of picking up yellow cards.
What is our prediction?
This is a very difficult match to predict. Uruguay are the favourites because they are the seeded team in the group (the other two teams are Italy and Costa Rica). England qualified for Brazil by finishing top of their group with no defeats in 10 matches but Uruguay needed to win a play off against Jordan to reach the finals in Brazil. If Suarez is on form then Uruguay will score, but will it be enough?We predict that Gerrard will captain England to a 2-1 win with Suarez scoring for Uruguay.

really hard to predict a result in this match,both team have great squads and of course uruguay is the seeded team but england have lot of strengh and movement in the pitch,so I guess the match will finish drawn 2-2 with both players,Suarez and Gerard scoring for their teams.
