Throughout its history, Cardiff have played in all four divisions of English football with long periods of time in the lower divisions. Here are some of the highlights:
- FA Cup Winners: 1927
- Championship Winners (second level): 2012/13
- Welsh Cup Winners a record 22 times

The Manager
Neil Warnock has been the manager of Cardiff City since October 2016. Warnock’s Cardiff City finished second in the Championship to win promotion to the Premier League. It was his eighth promotion as a manager, which is a record in English football. Warnock has managed 12 clubs in a managerial career lasting over 35 years.
Three to Watch
Cardiff will be looking to ruffle a few feathers in the Premier League this season. Here are three players to watch out for in the Premier League this season:
Aron Gunnarsson
Gunnarsson is one player in the Cardiff City squad you may have seen him as Iceland’s captain at the World Cup in Russia or the European Championship in 2016. Gunnarsson is a defensive midfielder and he scored the goal that won Cardiff promotion back to the Premier League.
Bobby Reid
Reid is Cardiff’s big summer signing. Reid was signed from Bristol City for about £10 million and fans will be hoping he will be the player to score the goals in the Premier League. The striker scored 19 goals in the Championship last season.
Sean Morrison
Morrison is Cardiff’s captain and was the team’s Player of the Season last season. The centre-back has made over 150 appearances for the Bluebirds and will be the player to keep an eye on some of the Premier League’s top strikers this season.
Last season
Cardiff finished in second place in the Championship to win automatic promotion to the Premier League. Cardiff’s promotion was built on a strong defence as they had the joint-best defence in the division. Their top scorer was Junior Hoilett with 11 goals.
Prediction: 20th
Cardiff sometimes found it difficult to score goals last season and this will be even more difficult in the Premier League. They will need their strikers to be on top form. Cardiff will battle and be competitive in every game they play but we’re not sure that will be enough.

My favorite team is kind of bird but it's not bluebird, it is white bird. Guess what: It can only be Spurs.

I think Cardiff will try this season to not be relegated. They would be happy finishing in the middle of the table.

Unfortunately I think that the bluebirds will have same problems this season, my prediction is 20th.
Cardiff will need score a lot of goals, if I could recommend brazilians players (forward):
Borja - Palmeiras
Pedro - Fluminense
Dourado - Flamengo
Romero - Corinthians
Rodrygo - Santos
