I learnt English by reading a lot, watching series and movies in English, listening to podcast, talking to native speakers and obviously studying a lot, however I think I still have a lot to learn because the more I know the language I realise there are many things that I haven't learnt yet.

By listening to natives and trying to speak like them using a variety of useful phrases.
I chat with my students and colleagues in English inside and outside the classroom.
My advice is to listen more to podcasts in the topics you are into and try to include yourself in the conversation.
Also , have a diary where can you write some useful vocabulary and phrases to return to them back when needed.

Mostly I learn English through internet. There are lot of English learning tutorials available we can follow but the down side is there's no proper way to improve spoken English without interacting with other people.
English movies with English subtitles helps a lot, and the best way to improve English is through living in it.
