Fantasy Football - Gameweek 6

The Team

Gameweek 5 finished with 49 points for the Premier Skills team on the Premier League's official Fantasy Football game. You chose the team and decided to go with Eden Hazard (2 points) as your captain, in a 3-4-3 formation. Every week, you choose the teamselect the captain (double points) and nominate players to sell and buy. In the Premier Skills League, we are in mid-table place with 231 points. Congratulations to Dream On managed by Suress Adhikari from Nepal who is currently top of the Premier Skills League with 295 points. How is your team doing?

This was our starting XI for Gameweek 5:

When you have chosen, select the captain you want to see this week. The vote is at the bottom of this page.

Kevin De Bruyne was the top scorer in the Premier Skills team last week.

If you need more information, check out our how to play Fantasy Football article!

If you want to listen and read at the same time, take a look at the transcript.

Rich: Rich here. Welcome to our fantasy football discussion points. Jack and I are here to talk about the Premier Skills Fantasy Football team and the players that you think are right for the team.

Jack: 49 points in Gameweek 5 for the Premier Skills team. This was better than last week and just above the global average, so well done everybody!

Rich: But we still need your help to improve the team. Let’s take a look at what happened to the Premier Skills team this week. Let’s take a look at the good, the bad and the ugly!

Jack: The good was Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne he scored the team 14 points and was our top scorer last week.

Rich: Maybe we should choose him as our captain?

Jack: Maybe, we will leave that for our Premier Skills players in this week’s vote but I think he could be a good choice.

Rich: Riyad Mahrez picked up 6 points and Southampton’s Dusan Tadic also got an assist for the team. Marcus Rashford was picked by Jose Mourinho and although it was a bad day for Manchester Utd, Rashford scored and the assist was by Ibrahimovic which meant 11 points for the team.

Jack: The bad is our defence. We failed to get a clean sheet and again we only had two defenders playing. I think we need to do something about this. And the ugly, RIch?

Rich: Yes, the ugly was our captain. You chose Eden Hazard in last week’s vote in front of Zlatan Ibrahimovic but that was a disaster. HAzard only scored 1 point which meant only 2 points for the team.

Jack: Not good! What about the Premier Skills League?

Rich: We have a new leader on 295 points. The team is Dream On and the manager is Suress Adhikari from Nepal.

Jack: 295 points is a great score. The Premier Skills team is down in 27th place on 231 points. I see that you had a good week, Rich.

Rich: Yes, I’m up to 15th place on 251 points. I had Everton’s Romelu Lukaku as captain which got me 24 points! And you Jack, still near the bottom?

Jack: Yes, I’m afraid so. I’m in 40th place out of 44 teams but I’m planning on having a good week this week. I can feel it in my bones.

Rich: Really? We’ll see. How about everybody else? How is your team doing? Let us know in the comments section below.

Jack: Right, what do we want people to vote on this week.

Rich: We have two free transfers this week so we are giving our listeners the chance to use the transfer market to freshen up the team this week.

Jack: I think we need to get Sergio Aguero back in the team. He’s the best striker out there.

Rich: I think you’re right. Let’s give everybody three possible double transfers with the aim to get Aguero back in the team.

Jack: OK, Sergio Aguero costs a lot so we need to sell big to get the cash. Our first possibility is selling Ibrahimovic and buying Aguero. With the money left we could change our keeper, too. Let’s get rid of Valdes and sign WEst Brom’s Ben Foster.

RIch: Looks good. Foster has 23 points so far - Valdes only has 5!

Jack: Option 2 is selling Riyad Mahrez! He’s not performing as well as last season. We could sell Mahrez in midfield and NEgredo in attack. Then we have Aguero and Ibrahimovic.

Rich: Then we would need another cheap midfielder. Let’s go for Dean Marney at Burnley. He’s got the most points for players that cost less than 4.5 million.

Jack: OK, our third option is buying Aguero and selling Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Alvaro Negredo then buying Etienne Capoue the Watford midfielder. Capoue is only 4.9 million and he’s scored more points than any other midfielder in the Premier League!

Rich: Ok let’s recap. Option 1 - buy Aguero and Foster and sell Ibrahimovic and Valdes

Jack: Option 2: buy Aguero and Marney and sell Negredo and Riyad Mahrez.

Rich: And option 3 - buy Aguero and Capoue and sell Hazard and Negredo.

Jack: So, make your choice in the vote below and don’t forget to choose your captain!

Rich: Remember! We want to hear from you! How did your team do last weekend? What changes are you going to make? Are you happy with your team?

Jack: We’ve got this week’s matches on the side of the page to help you.

Rich: And, use the comments section to discuss the Premier Skills team. Which players do you think we should move out of the squad and which players should we buy?

Jack: Remember, you can register your own team on the fantasy football website and join the Premier Skills League at any time. I’ve added the link and the code you need at the bottom of the page.

The Gameweek 5 has been the best week for me. I've achieved 61 points. I'm very pleased with my team this week despite Dier follows whitout play well. The next week is his last oportunity for score points but I'll have to sell
In the other hand I think you should buy Aguero and Dean Marney and sell Negredo and Mahrez, because Aguero still play next week and sure scored several goals and Mahrez isn't playing like we hoped. Also Negredo start well the season but in the last matchs his performance's fallen.

61 points is a great score, Daviillons! I'm not sure about Eric Dier. He's a defensive midfielder so might not score too many points. I see that you already have Capoue in your team - that was a great choice! Let's see who we decide to sell in the vote this week. I'd prefer not to lose Mahrez because I think he's starting to play better - he looked great in the Champions League against Bruges!
