Fantasy Football - Gameweek 2

The Team

Gameweek 1 finished with 54 points for the Premier Skills team on the Premier League's official Fantasy Football game. You chose the team and decided to go with Sergio Aguero (18 points) as your captain, in a 3-4-3 formation. Every week, you choose the teamselect the captain (double points) and nominate players to sell and buy. We need your knowledge of the Premier League as we try to create a team that can rise to the top of the Fantasy Football League table.

Last week, we had problems in defence. Two of our four players didn't play! Any ideas for a new defender or two? We can make one transfer this week or we can save our transfer and make two changes next week. What do you think? Let us know in the comments section below.

The Vote

Each week, we will ask you to choose the 11 players that should play in the Premier Skills team and who should be captain. Use the vote at the bottom of the page to choose the 11 players from the Premier Skills squad. After this, nominate the captain by writing the name of the captain at the bottom of the list of the players.

The Debate

We want you to tell us who you think should be in the Premier Skills English Fantasy Football team and squad. So, leave a comment below and say which players you think we should sell and which players we should buy. Take a look at the transfer list on the Fantasy Football website to help you make your decision.

We also want to hear about your personal Fantasy Football teams so let us know who is in your team and how you are doing in the Fantasy Football competition and don't forget, you can still join the Premier Skills Fantasy Football League! To do this, you need to register on the Premier League website, choose your team and enter the Premier Skills League using this Private league code: 155156-51385

Middlesbrough's Alvaro Negredo was one of four goalscorers in the Premier Skills Fantasy Football team in Gameweek 1.

Rich: Rich here. Welcome to our fantasy football discussion points. Jack and I are here to talk about the Premier Skills Fantasy Football team and the players that you think are right for our team.

Jack: 54 points! I think that’s a very good start for the Premier Skills team.

Rich: Yes, I agree, so well done to everyone who was involved in choosing the team.

Jack: Our strikers had a great start to the season. Middlesbrough's Alvaro Negredo, Man City’s Sergio Aguero and Man Utd’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic all got on the scoresheet on the opening day of the season.

Rich: And all of them picked up maximum bonus points, too.

Jack: What are bonus points?

Rich: Bonus points are given to the three best-performing players in each match. With the best getting three points, the second best two points and the third best one point.

Jack: And Negredo, Aguero and Ibrahimovic all got three bonus points that’s great. We’ve picked some good players there.

Rich: Our listeners also made a very good choice of captain. You chose Sergio Aguero just ahead of Zlatan Ibrahimovic as our captain which meant he scored 18 points for the team.

Jack: Zlatan would have scored the same points if he had been captain, too, so I think we are on the right track.

Rich: So, our strikers scored 36 points between them. Brilliant.

Jack: Riyad Mahrez got a goal in midfield and one bonus point for a total of 8 points.

Rich: Remember a midfielder who scores gets 5 points and a striker 4 points.

Jack: But no other player got more than 2 points for the team which was a bit disappointing. I think we need some help with the defence. Have you got some ideas for transfers in defence?

Rich: I haven’t but I hope a few of you in the Premier Skills Community can give us some advice. Just write your comments in the section below.

Jack: One thing that I think is important is to choose players who take set pieces.

Rich: Set pieces?

Jack: You know corners, free-kicks and most importantly penalties. Half of our goals came from penalties last week.

Rich: That’s a good idea and a good piece of advice.

Jack: So, this week, we need you to pick the Premier Skills team from the list below and the captain. Man Utd are at home to Southampton - Ibrahimovic might be a good choice.

Rich: Let’s see what everybody else thinks. Remember you decide!

Jack: So what about the Premier Skills League. After Gameweek 1 the team at the top is Robotics from India. Well done to you! I’m not doing very well - I’m quite near the bottom. What about you Rich?

Rich: Not a terrible week. I’m mid-table. Manchester Utd’s Anthony Martial did well for me. He got 11 points from two assists and three bonus points!

Jack: We want to hear from you! How did your team do on the opening weekend? What changes are you going to make? Are you happy with your team?

Rich: We’ve got this week’s matches on the side of the page to help you.

Jack: And, use the comments section to discuss the Premier Skills team. Which players do you think we should move out of the squad and which players should we buy?

Rich: Remember, you can still register your own team on the fantasy football website and join the Premier Skills League. I’ve added the link and the code you need at the bottom of the page.

I had 4 players who couldn't play in the 1st game
I have immediately transferred them for performing players at cost effective prices.
Eg. Negredo in for Lukaku

Negredo is a good choice, as you know, we have him in our Premier Skills team. I have Lukaku in my team and I'm keeping him for now, I think he'll score lots of goals this season! Managing injuries is a difficult part of the game - nobody has suggested any changes for the Premier Skills team this week so that means we have the possibility of two free transfers next week!

My team managed 42 points. I'm pleased and excited. I have to do a couple of changes because had in the titular team to Smalling and Origi and they didn't play

42 points is a good start! Who was your best player on the first weekend? Have you got any Arsenal players in your team?

My best player was Adam Lallana with eleven points.
Yes, I have. In my team are Nacho Monreal (0 point) and Santi Cazorla (7 points)
I've sent to Origi because he played very little and only managed one point and I've bought to Jermain Defoe. I hope it goes better.

Collins played really well and even scored on Stamford Bridge. I'm satisfied with midfielders and defenders in my squad but two out of three strikers of mine didn't play. I hope they'll get their chance in the team.

Have you got Collins in your team? That's a nice bonus - it was his first goal since 2014! Not playing is a problem, the Premier Skills team had 3 defenders missing last week. Marc Wilson has just moved to Bournemouth so he might get some more game time. Sometimes the reverse is a problem too, in my team, Gareth Mcauley of WBA was on the bench with 7 points but didn't play. It can be a frustrating game sometimes!
