Fantasy Football - Gameweek 9

The Team

Gameweek 8 finished with 29 points for the Premier Skills team on the Premier League's official Fantasy Football game. Better than last week! Mesut Ozil was our top scorer with 10 points and Antonio Valencia got us 7 points in Man Utd's 0-0 draw against Liverpool. We bought three new defenders last week, you decided to buy Gareth Mcauley (West Brom) and Pablo Zabaleta (Man City). We also added Callum Chambers (Middlesbrough) to our squad. You voted for Aguero as captain last week. It was a disaster! He came on as substitute and missed a penalty! He scored a total of -2 points!! Who should be captain this week?  In the Premier Skills League, we are in 39th place with 325 points. Congratulations to Dream On managed by Suress Adhikari from Nepal who has gone back to the top of the Premier Skills League with 443 points. How is your team doing?

This was our starting XI for Gameweek 8:

The Votes

This week, we want you to make a big choice. We are going to sell one of our most expensive players. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored only 1 goal in his last 6 matches and Riyad Mahrez has only scored 1 goal all season! Should we sell Zlatan or Mahrez? Decide in the vote below! We've also selected some players to buy. Choose from the list and we will select the player that receives the most votes. The vote is at the bottom of this page.

The Debate

We want you to tell us who you think should be in the Premier Skills English Fantasy Football team and squad. We also want to hear about your Fantasy Football team and the players you've chosen. So, leave a comment below and say which players you think we should sell and which players we should buy plus any other questions or comments you have about Fantasy Football. Take a look at the transfer list on the Fantasy Football website to help you make your decision.

You can join the Premier Skills Fantasy Football League at any time! To do this, you need to register on the Premier League website, choose your team and enter the Premier Skills League using this Private league code: 155156-51385

Mesut Ozil was the top scorer for Premier Skills last week with 10 points.

If you find the listening difficult, try listening and reading at the same time.

Rich: Rich here. Welcome to our fantasy football discussion points. Jack’s away on important Premier League business. So it’s just me here to talk about some of the important things that happened to the Premier Skills Fantasy Football team last week.

Rich: We have three discussion points. The first thing is last week’s vote. The second thing is the Premier Skills League and the final thing to discuss is this week’s vote.

Rich: First, let’s talk about the changes you made to the team in last week’s votes. If you remember we needed to change our defence. We bought three new defenders. Pablo Zabaleta from Manchester City, Gareth Mcauley from West Brom and Calum Chambers from Middlesbrough.

Rich: Let’s hope that these defenders play more regularly than the defenders we had before.

Rich: The second thing to talk about this week is points and the Premier Skills Fantasy Football League. The Premier Skills team scored 29 points last week - not a great score but better than the week before.

Rich: Our top scorer was Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil with 10 points but we had a bit of a disaster with our choice of captain. You chose Sergio Aguero but he was only a substitute and then he came on and missed a penalty. This gave him a total of -1 but because he was our captain this means a total of -2!

Rich: The leader of the Premier Skills League at the moment is  Dream On managed by Suress Adhikari from Nepal. Dream On scored 50 points last week and have 443 points in total. There are less than 100 points between the top 30 clubs in the Premier Skills league so lots of time to catch up!

Rich: Our last discussion point is this week’s vote. We have decided to sell one of our star players who is not performing well. We have chosen to sell either Manchester Utd’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez. But you need to decide which one.

Rich: Zlatan Ibrahimovic has only scored one goal in his last 6 matches and is very expensive. Manchester Utd play away to Chelsea this weekend so he might not score many goals there. But he is a great player.

Rich: Riyad Mahrez has only scored once all season and Leicester are having problems in the Premier League. However, they play Crystal Palace at home at the weekend and Mahrez scored the winner for Leicester in the Champions League this week. Could his form be improving?

Rich: So, that’s this week’s vote. Who to sell? Zlatan or Mahrez? The vote is at the bottom of the page with a list of players to buy so we can replace one of them. The player that gets the most votes will move into the squad.

Rich: Remember! We want to hear from you! How did your team do last weekend? What changes are you going to make? Are you happy with your team?

Rich: You can register your own team on the fantasy football website and join the Premier Skills League at any time. I’ve added the link and the code you need at the bottom of the page.

Rich: Enjoy your football!

Gameweek 9 - Vote

This week, we want you to make a big choice. We are going to sell one of our most expensive players. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored only 1 goal in his last 6 matches and Riyad Mahrez has only scored 1 goal all season! Should we sell Zlatan or Mahrez? Decide in the vote below! We've also selected some players to buy. Choose from the list and we will select the player that receives the most votes. Don't forget to choose our captain from our current squad, too. Together we can take the Premier Skills squad up the league table!

My team got 48 points this week but still didn't make any positive impact in terms of a rise on the table. I maintained my position right under Jack.
Watch out Jack. Lol :)

You need to get a couple of good gameweeks in a row then you will start climbing the table! What do you think about the Premier Skills team? Zlatan or Mahrez to go?
