Liverpool are one of the most successful football teams in British football history. They have won 18 League titles and only Manchester United have won more League titles than Liverpool. But, Liverpool haven’t won a Premier League title yet - they last won the league in 1990. Liverpool have also won the FA Cup 7 times and the League Cup a record 8 times.

Gerrard is a Liverpool and Premier League legend.

Liverpool's ex-captain Steven Gerrard is from Liverpool and joined Liverpool football club when he was 9 years old. Gerrard first played for Liverpool in 1998 and was the only football club he has ever played for. Gerrard was captain of Liverpool and England and he played over 500 games for the Reds, scoring over 100 goals. Gerrard won 2 FA Cups, 3 League Cups, 1 UEFA Cup and 1 Champions League and is the only player to have scored a goal in an FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Cup and Champions League Final. Gerrard was given the MBE award (Member of the British Empire) in 2006 by Queen Elizabeth II. Gerrard left Liverpool in the summer of 2015 to play for LA Galaxy in the USA but is now back at Anfield as a coach. On the pitch, it is up to Jordan Henderson and other Liverpool players to fill the gap that Gerrard leaves on the field and in the dressing room.

‘Is he the best in the world? He might not get the attention of Messi and Ronaldo but yes, I think he just might be.’ Zinedine Zidane , 2009.

Jurgen Klopp is Liverpool's manager.

The Reds’ top scorer last season was Mohamed Salah, with 22 goals. Liverpool expect to be challenging at the top of the table again this season and will probably be Manchester CIty's main challengers to their title.

Liverpool's way of playing football is genuine and fair. Liverpool does not need an excessive amount of money to run their amazing club. All they need are passion and support from the fans. Liverpool allows me to fully experience what is really called "football". My all-time favorite Liverpool player is King Kenny Dalglish. Liverpool finished last season as runner-up when their main aim was to be back on top 4, so I am sure next season, Liverpool will bring the league back home.
