Three to Watch
The Arsenal squad is full of international talent from Bukayo Saka (England) in defence to Thomas Partey (Ghana) in midfield and Nicolas Pepe (France) in attack. Here are three players to watch out for in the Premier League this season:
Arsenal paid Borussia Dortmund a club record fee for Aubameyang in January 2018. The striker from Gabon is one of the world’s top forwards and has explosive pace. He was African Player of the Year in 2015.
Lacazette is another exciting forward. Arsenal signed him from Lyon in France for a then club-record fee. The French striker is fast, has great dribbling skills and is good with both feet.
Tierney has been at Arsenal since 2019 when he moved from Celtic in Scotland in a record transfer for a Scottish player. Tierney normally plays left-back but can also play as a central defender. After an injury-hit 2020/21 season, Arsenal fans will be hoping one of the most exciting Premier League defenders stays injury-free this season.
Prediction 2021/22: 6th
Arsenal will be looking to break back into the top four and claim Champions League football next season, but it may be another year of consolidation. With many new players, it could be difficult for Arsenal to find enough consistency to win the Premier League. However, with the players they have, they will hope for a good run in one of the domestic cup competitions.
