Discussion - Player Positions
On the course this week, you have been studying some of the different positions on the football pitch. Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez, for example, usually plays as a winger but can also play as an attacking midfielder.
In this discussion, you are going to share your knowledge about player positions and discuss the importance of each position on the football pitch.

1) I think the most important positions on the pitch are goalkeeper and central back, because if we don't conside a goal, we will get minimum one point.

I think that Riyad Mahrez give a new type of soccer 's game and he can play like winger position or Midfield .

I like using a 1-4-2/3-1 formation, and in my opinion the most important players in this formation are the 2 midfielders who play ahead the back-centers, because they have to know as defendering as attacking. And they have to do fouls and give speed to the ball or pause, depending on your team needs in every moment.

the most important position on the pitch is the Goalkeeper, its the half of a team.
My favourite player in the world is Modric, and he plays in the midfield as a creative-midfielder.

- For me, the positions most important on the pitch are the defenders because if you don't defend good, it's impossible to win a match

If the goalkeeper doesn't keep his post well, he will cost his team. The defenders will also cost their team if they don't break attacks from the opponents. Midfielders will have to send the ball to the strikers and the strikers will have to score goals to help thear team win.
